I completed my Ph.D. in combined Counseling and School Psychology from the Florida State University and specialize in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive and anxiety related disorders. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with exposure response prevention (ERP) to provide the best evidence-based treatment possible. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. During this time I completed rotations in the child psychiatry and psychology department in addition to pediatric care with an emphasis in psycho-oncology. I completed additional training at the University of South Florida's (USF) Rothman Center for Pediatric Neuropsychiatry, where I provided treatment to patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder, trichotillomania, excoriation, and many other anxiety-based disorders. With this experience I was able to provide treatment to children and adolescents with trichotillomania as part of a larger research study through the university.
I had the privilege of working with Rogers Behavioral Health in Tampa, Florida as they opened a speciality clinic focusing on the treatment of individuals with OCD and anxiety related disorders. During this time, I provided care for children and adolescents from across the nation with severe and disabling OCD and anxiety related disorders. Having worked in both the partial hospitalization program and intensive outpatient program, I am well versed in the symptom severity of OCD and anxiety-based disorders. While at The Rothman Center and Rogers Behavioral Health, I was trained under Dr. Eric Storch, an internationally known expert in the OCD field.
While the bulk of my training has been with children and adolescents, I also work with adults. I enjoy providing efficacious treatment when addressing anxiety and related disorders, no matter the age.
